SAN JOSE The only other original Spanish Colonial town inCalifornia apart from Los Angeles, San Jose was founded
in 1777 by Felipe de Neve and has become the state's third
large city. It is now the commercial and cultural center of
South Bay and the civic heart of Silicon Valley.
